Faculty Highlights - Summer 2007
Jane Slusarski-Harris, director of the newly formed Division of Dance and Theatre, had her choreography, The Half-Moon of Serenity, performed at the American College Dance Festival Association at the University of Mississippi, where she also served as a guest teacher. She also conducted a weeklong residency at the AIS Ballet in Osaka, Japan. She served on the selection panel for the Wyoming Arts Council Dance and Theatre Fellowship Program and completed her Pilates Mat and Equipment Teacher Certification.
Chung-Fu Chang, assistant professor, performed his solo dance Golden Heat in Athens, Greece, and has been invited to perform his solo dance Ash Wind and conduct a modern dance workshop at the World Dance Forum in October in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He performed Ash Wind for “Elementals,” the Aspen Dance Connection’s 29th Annual Juried Colorado Choreographer Finalists at the Wheeler Opera House and for American College Dance Festival Association Southeastern Region Faculty Showcase at The University of Mississippi. Chang conducted a guest residency at Middle Tennessee State, teaching modern dance and setting a dance piece on students, as well as performing as a guest artist with Shelter Repertory Dance Theater at Martha Rivers Ingram Center for the Performing Arts at Blair Ingram Hall in Nashville. He also conducted choreography residencies at Chung-Hwa School of Arts and National Tainan Chia-Chi Girls’ Senior High School Dance Division, in Taiwan, R.O.C. He performed and directed CSU’s Tour Dance Company in five shows for K-12 schools, reaching more than 2,000 young people in Aspen and the Western slope of Colorado.
